Are you ready to make a difference in the world of mobile communications with RIM?POSITION SUMMARYThe successful candidate will be part of the RIM Ottawa HW Development team for design, testing and/or characterization, and development of CDMA/GSM/UMTS/Bluetooth/WiFi/ and GPS handheld antenna solutions.RESPONSIBILITIESYou will work with Baseband Design, Radio Frequency (RF), Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Design teams from concept design to final products to deliver optimized antenna performance. You will evaluate multiple Antenna implementation alternatives in depth and will communicate recommendations effectively in cross-discipline discussions. The candidate must be a self starter, and be current with emerging antenna technologies.ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS• Degree in Electrical Engineering, specializing in Radio Frequency (RF) / Antenna technologies • 5+ years experience in Antenna/RF design • 3-4 years Handset Antenna experience preferred • Strong knowledge of antenna theories and technologies • Excellent in EMI problem solving • Familiar with antenna simulation tools • A strong desire to contribute to the success of the team • Must be self-motivated and a logical thinker ASSET• PHD in antenna theory would be desirable for this role • Research in emerging antenna technologies If you're driven to take wireless technologies to the next level, it's time you join the team at RIM.
