Our client has experienced a rapid growth over the last few years and currently has more work than they have people. All development takes place on site at the company's downtown Calgary based headquarters. As part of the Production Support Team, you will be responsible for supporting all internal and customer-facing development production initiatives to fulfill end-user requirements and service agreements. You will be interacting with both internal and external agents, including: developers, customer/technical support, quality assurance, and end-users. Key Responsibilities:- Play an active role in ongoing production application support and work closely with internal development teams as well as external end-users to ensure that all new productions are operating without faults- Trouble shooting application from beginning to end to understand and resolve defects and must be able to document and communicate to software vendors to resolve them.- Work closely with the testing team to troubleshoot and address production issues.- Diagnose and debug software incidents- Analyze problems and execute existing scripts for data fixes/corrections and/or create new scripts- Provide technical support on an as-need basisWe are looking for an individual with the following key skills:The ideal candidate will have a background in data manipulation and verification in commercial software development. As well, a strong knowledge of problem solving and troubleshooting around enterprise software system issues is required. A solid working knowledge of Oracle P-SQL, Oracle SQL Development, or equivalent is a strong asset, as is experience with scripting languages. The right candidate will also bring strong problem solving skills and be able to creatively solve problems as they arise.
