The service provides individuals and businesses with the ability to send and receive payments online without exposing their personal information.As part of a project team, the Software Developer actively participates in all stages of the software development lifecycle (Design, Develop, Maintain, and Test). The Software Developer also interacts with all aspects of the application, from the SQL server level to the UI level. Software Developers are expected to have passion for programming and applying object oriented architecture and design methodologies.Responsibilities include developing and testing complex programs/modules according to specific business and design requirements in an efficient and accurate manner in order to meet deadlines and exceed customer expectations.Responsibilities* Design web applicationso Collaborate with business analysts as well as product and project managers to gather and define requirementso Evaluate and perform design tradeoffs regarding the architecture and software componentso Conceptualize an approach to assigned tasks, ensuring scalability of designo Review code of new and existing features to re-use components created* Develop application codeo Manage database (i.e.: tables, stored procedures, functions, etc.)o Code different application layers (i.e.: database, business logic, web, etc.)o Ensure UI is appropriate and follows style guide* Maintain application codeo Find and repair software defectso Optimize existing code to meet new requirements and cope with a changing environmento Write and maintain programming documentation* Test application codeo Ensure software meets the business and technical requirements that guided its design and developmento Ensure software works as expected and can be implemented with the same characteristicsRequired skills and abilities* Autonomy --Comfortable taking direction from others with the ability to be accountable and productive to complete a project with minimal supervision* Time Management -- Effectively prioritize and manage multiple priorities* Critical Thinking -- Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems* Complex Problem Solving -- Identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions* Technology Design -- Generate or adapt equipment and technology to serve user needs* Troubleshooting -- Determine causes of operating errors and decide what to do about itTechnical* Strong understanding of the .NET 3.5 framework* Hands on experience with both VB .NET and C#* Excellent knowledge of ASP .NET* Fluent in SOAP, XML, CSS, HTML, JavaScript, AJAX* Experience with tools such as Microsoft Visual SourceSafe and Visual Studio Team System* In depth knowledge of object oriented programming and design patterns* Good knowledge of SQL server 2008, including constructing SQL queries, stored procedures, and optimization techniques
