Position OverviewMicroserve's client requires a Device Assessment Analyst to join its team in Vancouver Island.Resource to contact users of personal computers (PCs) to confirm their PC needs and to document replacement requirements in work orders that will be supplied to our desktop delivery vendor.ResponsibilitiesVendor of Record Reporting Accountabilities:• Provide a bi-weekly progress report to the client contract manager including work carried out and the number of hours, by named resource.• Promptly notify the client contract manager of any issues, delays or time/cost overruns that deviate materially from the commitments in the Project Engagement Vendor Response or may impact the ability of the vendor to meet project expectations/deliverables.• At the end of the project engagement, provide a written report detailing work completed issues outstanding and lessons learned.RequirementsThe Device Assessment Analyst will:• Use existing lease schedules and inventory databases to create an inventory of PCs that are due for replacement• Use PC scanning tools to document software loaded on each PC• Contact clients to confirm the location of the existing PC, the form factor of the replacement PC and related needs such as software loaded on the device or peripherals attached to the device.• Create work orders documenting the PC requirements, site contacts, required software, special handling etc.• Ensure all work orders are complete and accurate• Answer installation vendor questions.• Develop quotes for net new devices• Prepare purchasing documentsResourcing anticipated includes resource types, numbers, and specialized skills:The Device Assessment Analyst will:• Be organized and able to produce accurate work - attention to detail• Have excellent keyboarding skills• Be Proficient in the use of email, Excel and word processing products, and• Have a good understanding of PC computing components• Understanding of equipment refresh methodologies in a large enterprise would be an asset
