For our client we are looking for an Embedded Firmware/DSP Software Developer.The successful candidate will be experienced in designing and fabricating hardware, hardware schematics, generating firmware structure and developing digital schematics that meet client and product requirements. The Embedded Firmware/DSP Software Developer must have working knowledge of digital techniques for power supply design and sustainable power supplies (bonus if grid-tie inverters knowledge). The developer will participate in the full design cycle including the design, implementation, testing, integration and maintenance of the algorithms and firmware.Responsibilities:• Develop firmware architecture and data structures, protocols and firmware controls• Design and develop firmware (and assist with hardware design and hardware control as needed) • Assist as needed with hardware and digital schematics and PWM or other switch mode controls• Ensure functionality of new software that meets client requirements • Implement quality software that is subject to revision controlQualifications:• 5+ years experience with embedded systems development, C and assembler• Discrete and continuous transfer function• Digital filters and control • Good knowledge of digital hardware and analogue circuitry• Experience and working knowledge of digital power supplies and grid tie inverters preferred • Familiarity with Microchip preferred (Knowledge of TI DSP also helpful)• Post-secondary education (B. Sc. minimum preferred) plus minimum 3-5 years related experience • Strong skills in project planning and time management• Self starter and working with minimal supervision as part of a dedicated team• Strong computer proficiency• Fluent in speaking, reading and writing in English
