On behalf of our client located in Vancouver, TRS Contract Consulting Group is currently looking for a Technical Project Manager for a 6 month contract opportunity with a possibility of an extension.The Technical Project Manager is responsible for the coordination and delivery of technical aspects of an Internet Portal project. This role Reports directly to the Project Manager.Responsibilities:• Work within project plan as owned by the Project Manager and the Project Sponsor• Manage the scope of technical work, revising as required to align with overall project objectives• Identify technical resources needed and assign individual responsibilities • Coordinate delivery across multiple technical partners under different management structures• Ensure technical activities are delivered to time, cost and quality• Understand and communicate impacts to Project Manager and Project Sponsor in a timely manner• Manage and escalate technical risks as appropriate• Support the Project Manager to find pragmatic approaches to drive the project forward where ambiguity exists • Effectively brief Project Manager and Project Sponsor to support project reporting and communications activities• Comply with and help to enforce standard policies and procedures• Other duties as assigned by the Project ManagerDeliverables:• Secure and robust Production, Staging and Development environments for the ECR and electronic referral portal (ESX4 virtual servers running FreeBSD, PHP, MySQL, Apache)• Firewall configuration to support architectural design and access requirements• Associated architectural design documentation• Functional HL7 interfaces between the ECR, Cerner ADT and the EMPI Broker Service• Integration testing• Security audit (supported by STRA consultant)• Plans to support solution deployment across four regional sites, including data conversion and fallback plans• Plans to support transition to operations and system sustainment• Disaster recovery and back-up plans• Documentation to support handover to operations• Other deliverables as agreed to support the project planEducation and Experience Requirements: • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience • 5+ years of project management experience, including at least two examples of deploying a software solution across multiple, geographically dispersed sites • Solid communication and negotiation skills • Experience with open source software solutions considered highly desirable • Experience with virtual server technologies considered highly desirable • Understanding of web services and STRA process considered desirable • PMP certification considered desirable • Experience in Healthcare considered desirableIf you meet the required criteria and are interested in the above position please APPLY HERE ? http://bit.ly/bbbbq4 **Due to the volume of resumes only those candidates being considered will be contacted.TRS Contract Consulting Group is a Vancouver-based Information Technology Recruitment Firm.
