Position OverviewMicroserve's client requires an IS Project Lead to join its team in Vancouver.Key Job Accountabilities• Lead the delivery and completion of the Business• Solution• Develop and maintain the IT Impact Assessment, IS Statement of Work, IT Project Plans, and IT budget including activities, deliverables and milestone due dates.• Lead and manage the direct and extended IT team.• Liaise with external vendor team(s).• Monitor project progress against the plan, making adjustments to the project to ensure on-time delivery, in partnership with the Project Manager.• Manage and report on project schedules and budgets; proactively identifying and managing variances to the project schedule and budget.• Identify, manage, resolve and escalate project issues as required.• Provide overall and day-to-day project planning, budgeting, coordination, and defining and delivery of the required IT deliverables.• Acquire the necessary IT resources in accordance with ICBC ISD procedures.• Ensure quality and completeness of the application, technical infrastructure, and disaster recovery plan and information risk management approach.• Ensure adherence to ISD standards and guidelines and solution architecture guidelines.• Ensure the required documentation for system construction is completed as required.• Provide mentorship and team building skills.• Ensure ISD support for user acceptance testing is provided.• Identify and arrange for training of ISD resources as required.• Coordinate and manage ISD development priorities and ISD resource allocation to facilitate optimal implementation timelines.• Provide ISD documentation to allow for the building and maintenance of the application to ISD standards and guidelines.• Ensure the development team conducts all required phases of ISD testing: unit, system, integration, volume and stress testing of any ICBC delivered application components.• Ensure the necessary quality assurance and technical reviews are conducted prior to implementation.• Develop and obtain agreement for the Transition Plan to operational support.• Ensure successful implementation of the application and systems into the production environment.• Ensure production support is provided for transition to operational mode.• Lead the delivery and completion of the Transition Plan to IS Solutions Operations and Support.• Lead the delivery and completion of ISD documentation to allow for the construction, operation and maintenance of the application to ISD standards and guidelines.• Lead the delivery and completion of the Implementation Plan.• Lead the delivery and completion of the service level agreement to support the business application.DeliverablesContribute to and/or Produce:• IT Impact Assessment• Candidate Solution Architecture• Business Case/Initiative documents• ISD Statement of Work• Solution Architecture• IT Project Plan• IT Project budget• IT Project Management deliverables such as Change Request, Issues Log and Risk Log• Project status reports as required by BT and IS Project Services• Personal time sheets• Transition Plan to IS Solutions Operations and Support• ISD documentation to allow for the construction, operation and maintenance of the application and systems to ISD standards and guidelines• Service level agreements to support the business applicationRequirementsPrevious demonstrated experience and success in applications delivery is required. Superior planning, organizing and communications skills are required. Previous experience with Commercial Off the Shelf package installations and mainframe legacy integration would be helpful.
