Candidate should possess:• Must have 3+ years of experience with Informatica and experience in a production support role.• Strong data analysis and data quality assessment skills• Complete understanding of change process and related systems/ technologies to deliver changes to the test environments.• Strong analytical, forward thinking, and organizational skills to coordinate complex code delivery schedules and identify conflicts between requirements for several projects• Working knowledge of AIX operating systems• Working knowledge of Unix, DB2, PVCS, Maestro and Informatica• Working knowledge of testing methodology and process.• Experience with software development lifecycles specifically in the area of quality assurance and testing• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, flexible, team environment.• Demonstrate strength in analysis and problem solving in a UNIX environment.• Strong documentation skills• Banking industry experienceKEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: • Production Support Analysts possess a proficient understanding of the computer operations environment (i.e., operating systems, application systems, terminology, infrastructures, languages, libraries, tools, processes, and procedures).• Production Support Analysts monitor, track, and execute batch and online processing. In addition, they analyze and manipulate schedules.• Recovery of failed batch jobs• Outage reporting• Providing status and problem notifications via phone, mail and email• Diagnosing issues in a production environment including AIX and Windows Server• Working with the related Application Management Teams to rearrange the existing schedule for optimal performance• Will work on Production Support Requests (PSR) to develop cobol codes, Informatic mappings and SQLs• Detecting unusually long running jobs and initiating investigations into root cause• Providing input into Project Planning stages to define support requirements• Provide guidance and consultation to individuals and groups to ensure on-going projects are in alignment with the schedule.• Monitor and manage critical path processing for all systems in a multi-system environment and the restart and reprocess batch applications using Batch job scheduler• Production Support Analysts provide first-level problem diagnosis and resolution using troubleshooting procedures to resolve moderately complex problems• Recognize a wide variety of problem conditions and recognize the customer-base impact and severity of those conditions.• Provide timely escalation of complex problems to a technical support resource and/or to the appropriate level of senior staff.• Identify the need for, documentation, and update department procedures with approval from the supervisor or manager.• Production Support Analysts assist with rollout support during an implementation.• They coordinate with customers on requested activities (e.g., purges, installs, enhancements, new system set ups and back out processes).• Responsibilities also include updating/creating control members, updating DB2 tables, completing run sheets, auditing nightly batch updates, verifying system availability, researching and correcting moderately complex failed processes and abends• Participating in scheduled disaster recovery activities• Production Support Analysts may also provide technical support to customers, resolving moderately complex issues/inquiries regarding systems, applications, and data.QUALIFICATIONS:• Strong hands-on experience with BI, ETL tools especially using Informatica.• Experience in production support role.• Excellent analytical, Conceptual, and problem-solving abilities• Strong data analysis and data quality assessment skills• Complete understanding of change process and related systems/ technologies to deliver changes.• Strong analytical, forward thinking and organizational skills to coordinate complex code delivery schedules and identify conflicts between requirements for several projects• Thorough working knowledge of AIX operating systems• Working knowledge of Unix, DB2, PVCS, Maestro and Informatica• Working knowledge of testing methodology and process.• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, flexible, team environment.• Demonstrate strength in analysis and problem solving in a UNIX environment.• Experience with Problem and Change Management procedures• Strong documentation skills• Banking industry experience• Thorough knowledge of Data Warehouse concepts and ETL methodologyEDUCATION AND ACCREDITATIONS:• College degree• Informatica certification is an added advantageOTHER INFORMATION:• The Production Support Analyst is reponsible for carring the monthly production support primary pager. Currently the pager is rotated among 3 to 4 staffs on a monthly basis.
