The Project Manager works closely with Client Services, Information Technology, Creative, Business Operations and Clients in managing overall project delivery. The PM uses their expertise to help find solutions for client business issues and potential client opportunities. The PM may be assigned to manage a major application development project, or to manage the on-going maintenance of a group of related or individual applications and also responsible for technical business analysis functions. The PM manages the financials and timelines of projected and ongoing client projects. The PM is challenged to perform efficient and effective analysis and to manage projects, which include both managerial and project task level activities. He/she faces the challenge of ensuring the client requirements are accurately captured, delivered on time and on budget.Tasks:Manages and directs new and ongoing client projects involving I.T. Developers, Client Services, Business Operations and Creative team.Estimates project resources, cost and timelines. Project Management including monitoring critical paths, risk assessment and budget reconciliation.Responsible for providing regular project status updates to the manager of the PMO.Responsible for creating and maintaining Project Milestone Reports, Risk Management & Mitigation plans.Monitors project to ensure client application solutions meets business and functional requirementsMain point of contact for Client Services and client for any IT and/or program related issues.Manages new and ongoing client project requirements including custom software management standards, database integration, practices and procedures that ensure practical and efficient client business operations.Ensures comprehensive user testing is conducted, completed and documented.Manages and directs project activities including setting priorities, coordinating and the reporting of group activities. Assists clients in prioritizing new development projects, enhancement projects for existing systems and client maintenance requests.In conjunction with application developers, assesses alternative systems approaches for workability and economic feasibility in relation to client programs.Reviews documentation and assures it is complete, acceptable and in accordance with company standards.Develops and maintains effective working relationships with other departments, groups and personnel with who work must be coordinated and interfaced.Responsible for coordinating launch activities which may include working with the development team to create a deployment plan.Reviews requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to proposed solution. Requirements:BS or BA degree in business or computer science or related fieldPMP designation, agile development experience and agile project management experience are assets5-10 years of Project Management experience. Staff supervision an asset.Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing when dealing with internal and external customers and suppliers Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying technical abilities.Ability to multi-task and work on several projects at onceBilingual (English/French) a strong asset
