Our client, a leading environmental consulting company, located in Vancouver, BC is looking for an experienced Intermediate or Senior Geochemist. This company is a big national player with international business. The Geochemist will work within an interdisciplinary environment with their engineering and science professionals.Responsibilities:• Fieldwork activities that encompass sampling study design and undertaking the sampling programs themselves• Undertaking geochemistry characterization analysis including that of metal leaching and acid rock drainage issues (ML/ARD)• Supporting the writing of geochemistry technical reports, baseline and environmental impact assessments sections• Formulation of mitigation and monitoring plans• Geochemical and water quality modeling (with particular reference to PHREEQC and GoldSim)• Supporting proposal writingQualifications:• Undergraduate or graduate degree in Geology or Geochemistry• P.Geo. with APEGBC is an asset• 5+ years or more of consulting experience in the mining industry• Familiarity with BC provincial and federal regulatory processes is an asset• Strong verbal communications skills and a track record of strong report writing skills
