We help game developers, mobile carriers, advertising networks, and online merchants create and leverage new revenue opportunities in the emerging mobile market.THE CANDIDATE ROLE -- Solution Architect / DeveloperPrimary Responsibilities:• Develop enterprise-grade web applications and supporting services, from inception to finish• Design and build mobile web and native applications on mobile platforms including Apple iOS, Google Android, BlackBerry OS.• Support key enterprise systems and productsExtremely helpful to have:• Exposure to credit card/debit card financial payment industry would be an asset• Understanding of financial payment and processing industry in Canada and the USA • Self-starter able to work in a start-up environmentQualifications (independent projects and work-term experience count!):• Degree in Engineering (Computer, Software, Systems , Mechatronics, Electrical), Computer Science or Mathematics• Strong programming skills with one or more of: Java/JEE (Java Enterprise Edition), C#, Ruby or C++• Understanding of web application technologies, frameworks and scalable systems (e.g. JSP/Servlets, Rails, ASP.NET, REST frameworks, Tomcat/JBoss, Apache Web Server), Spring and JPA• Experience with the software development lifecycle methodologies• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, independently & in small teams• Understanding of Distributed Systems Additional Desired Skills (the more you have the better!):• Familiarity with mobile application development (Google Android, BlackBerry Java SDK, Xcode, Objective C, Cocoa, J2ME)• Familiarity with Linux/Unix server administration and networking infrastructure • Web or other design skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Flash, layout, graphic design) -- links to your websites/portfolios will be visited! • Understanding of usability/UX principles and their application in UI design• Writing skills -- experience in writing proposals, technical documentation, web copy
