Job Title: Java ArchitectType: Permanent full timeLocation: Toronto, ONOur client, a leader in the interactive web entertainment and gaming industry is currently seeking a Java Architect to join their team.Responsibilities Include:-Drive the technical strategy and lead team(s) in meeting overall company strategic objectives.-Design complex systems at the component level, make strategic technology choices &directly supervise the quality of designs and implementation inside and between components.-Contribute to the investigation of techniques and methodologies to continually improve the quality and productivity of application development.-Monitor technology department architectural pattern adherence.-Work within and continually evolving architectural governance.-Collaborate with peer architects and Technical Leads to solve complex problemsspanning their respective areas and resolve technological disagreement with informed,rational debate.Qualifications:-Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent related experience.-3 or more years experience in an architecture role.-5 or more years experience in a technology environment and a team setting.-Experience with JAVA/J2EE development, involving both front and back end development.-Extensive experience with web technologies including Linux, PHP, C/C++, Java, and Flash.Nice to Have Skills:-Java frameworks (Spring, Struts, and Hibernate), JBoss, Tomcat, PostGreSQL and MySQL-Candidates with multi-user environment experience are preferred.
