The Enterprise Architect captures the requirements for these services and identifies the techniques, design and implementation patterns, and technologies that should be applied at the architecture and application level. This individual helps define the system and application architecture, functional and non-functional requirements and software services that the architecture, application and computing infrastructure must support. The Enterprise Architect works with other development team members to determine the most appropriate architecture and application partitioning to achieve the performance, extensibility, reusability and scalability requirements. This individual must work with the Data Architects, Technical / Application Architects and Designer / Developers to ensure that application-level software component and services are derived from and consistent with the requirements, business object model (BOM) and software services. Accountable For: • Reviewing business object model (Analysis and Design model)• Driving the definition and specification of the business object models, reviewing technology object models.• Designing and implementing business objects, architecture and application frameworks and services specification.• Agile development approach• Recommending, design and implement the appropriate architecture and application design for multiple projects.• Defining transition steps from the current to the future state application architecture, including interoperability.• Defining Functional, System and Architectural requirements.• Conducting design reviews of various software components to ensure they are designed to meet non-functional requirements such as ease of use, maintainability, re-usability, performance, scalability and extensibility.• Perform integration testing with Qas, Subject Matter Experts, Designers/Developers.Required Skills • J2EE frameworks• UML and various other Architectural patterns and methodologies. • Active Directory• Tapestry framework• Automated Build Platform• Eclipse• Weblogic, Websphere, Tomcat, Oracle Glassfish or other application server• EA tools like System Architect or Mega or Pumpkins etc.• Apache Ant• PMD• Find Bugs• JUnit• SoapUI• Squirrel• SVN• Complete end-to-end knowledge of systems including process re-engineering, workflow automation, web portals development SW, SW environment (Unix, Linux, Windows, HPUX) and hardware.• Designing high performance, high availability Business Systems.• Experience in application analysis and design (OOA/D, Design Patterns, SOA).• Experience in diverse system and application design in large heterogeneous enterprise environments required. • Demonstrated knowledge of enterprise IT process and service management (e.g. ITIL)Experience Base• 3 or more years of demonstrated experience creating, documenting and communicating a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)• 6-10 years of overall experience, with a minimum 3 years experience in analyzing, designing and deploying an Enterprise Architecture. • 5+ years J2EE application development experience.
