The OpportunityThis is a great opportunity for a talented, driven, and creative Quality Assurance Automation Engineer that is looking to join an innovative and fast paced team. You will have the opportunity to work with a dedicated team to develop a next-generation platform from the ground up using the latest technologies and frameworks in a 24x7 uptime development environment. You will be responsible for the planning and execution of automated and manual testing as well as improving overall quality assurance best practices. Key Responsibilities:- Design, develop and execute automated and manual test cases and test scripts to meet project testing requirements and other quality assurance considerations - Review test cases and procedures to ensure coverage of and conformance to business requirements- Execute testing as required according to test plan and project goals - Communicate testing progress and results in a timely and accurate manner - Review and continually improve quality assurance practices, including creation and update of documentation related to quality assurance processes and guidelines - Provide impact analysis and regression testing of software changes - Keep current with technology, tools and software quality assurance practices and share knowledge with others Qualifications:The ideal candidate will have minimally 5 years experience in quality assurance, preferably in a commercial software development environment, and a proven ability to apply various test techniques for development and maintenance environments. The right individual will have extensive experience with the creation, validation, and coordination of performance and stress testing as well as automated manual test procedures. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent. - Experience with PL/SQL querying in Oracle- Experience with writing basic Unix commands/scripts- Experience with QA automation for Java -- preferably utilizing Selenium - Experience in an Agile environment is a plus- Experience with white and black box testing- Some knowledge of XML and testing XML-based APIs- Knowledge of Load Balancing and failover testing- Basic knowledge of HTML and ASP- Familiarity with the following languages: C++, C#, .Net, Perl, Jscript, JavaScript, HTTP You will be working in a collaborative environment. Therefore, the ability to work well within a team is essential. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal are required, as is the ability to solve complex problems and bring new, innovative ideas to the table.
