Jr. Linux Systems AdministratorJob Description:* Monitor Systems for Performance* Apply Patch Updates* Apply & Enforce Security Measures* Develop Bash/Perl Scripts to perform administrative tasks* Assisst with troubleshooting remote network issues* Perform regular file archival and purge as necessary* Create, change, and delete user/email accounts per request.* Availability on weekends (on-call) & evenings* Occasional late/overnight patch/updates requiredRequired:* 2+ Experience with Administering Linux on a Server Environment* Experience with Administering Apache / PHP, Postfix / SMTP Daemons* MySQL 5.1 / 5.5 (backup/restore/replication/recovery)* Excellent verbal and written skills in English* Bash or Perl Scripting on the server side* Strong understanding of IP Networking* Standard Daemons (syslog, logrotate, chkconfig / init scripts, SSHD)* Practical Experince with YUM* Ability to Create and maintains documentation of systems processes and procedures.* Willing to participate with a rotating 24x7 on-call operations* Setup and maintain a Development / Staging environment for web developersAdvantageous:* Experience with Zimbra Community Server* Knowledge of PHP language a definite asset* Knowledge of Cisco Hardware (ASA Firewall, Switches)* Webmin Control Panel* cPanel / WHM a definite asset* Exposure to PCI Complience Tasks a definite plus* FTP Daemon* Experience with monitoring solutions (Nagios, Cacti)* Experience with ESXi & Virtualization Technologies
