We are seeking a motivated, full time PHP Web Developer to assist in the production and maintenance of our company websites. The ideal candidate will have at least 2-4 years experience building web properties in a professional environment and must have a strong technical background including experience working with servers and knowledge of operating systems and PC hardware. A quick learner, he/she must have very strong logic and problem solving abilities, and must be able to work on these problems quickly while having a very tight deadline. With a complex and customized application, he/she must have the ability to develop programming code built from scratch.This is a full time, permanent position working on site and not remotely. Preference will be given to those located within close proximity to our office. RESPONSIBILITIES? Developing programming code from scratch or by adapting existing website graphics and software to meet business requirements? Uploading the website to servers? Testing the website and identifying any technical problems and glitches? Determining any functionality that the website must support and developing content based on practical approved layout? Website maintenance / Database design? Database entrySKILL REQUIREMENTS? 2-4 years with HTML/CSS/Javascript? 2-4 years with Object-Oriented Programming (must have)? 2-4 years experience with PHP 5/MySQL 5 (must have)? Zend Framework, PEAR Framework? Knowledge of jQuery, AJAX, Doctrine, PHPUnit, phpDocumentor, Unified Modeling Language (UML), PHP Design Patterns, Concurrent Versions System (CVS)? Smarty template? Proficient with Structured Query Language? Familiar with Eclipse IDE? Illustrator/Photoshop/PageMaker/Acrobat Professional? Knowledge of international web standards and protocols? Strong interpersonal and communication skills with excellent fluency in English? Ability to multi-task? Ability to work individually or in a team to meet tight deadlines? Ability to adapt and pick up new techniques and technology? Exceptional organizational skills
