Responsibilities This project is the first phase of a complete set of Ontario Retail Market Transactions for Gas and Electricity (Transaction Engine). The software development will be designed as a tier between our client and SPI, the Hub provider in Ontario (SPI). As a PL/SQL Developer you are accountable for developing the SPI interface and integrations using Oracle relational databases including reports, data analysis, testing and other data-related assignments. The duties and responsibilities as the PL/SQL Developer will include, but are not limited to following: • Produce and maintain program code and documentation • Analyze logical and physical data models, functional specifications and build data interfaces and extracts • Performs systems testing with internal and external teams. • Provide support during various phases of testing and collaborate with client testing and support teams • Assess and maintain data integrity • Support and troubleshoot application issues and document solutions • Ensure project deliverables adhere to Ontario Gas/Electricity Transaction Standards where applicable • Participate in Core Team meetings every week at a time and day to be determined by the team • Other duties as assigned Educational Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field Additional Skills Required • Minimum 5 years experience with PL/SQL including complex queries, procedures, triggers and functions • Experience with XML development • Extensive experience working with Oracle databases (10g, 11g) • Experience in an Oracle environment using Oracle Designer, Oracle Developer (Oracle Forms/Reports, PL/SQL). • Experience with Oracle ETL tools would be beneficial • CIS or Billing Application System knowledge • Proficiency with Agile SDLC processes • Experience with Ontario Retail Market Transactions (Electricity) would be considered an asset • Energy/Utilities industry experience • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, detailed oriented environment • Strong problem solving skills are a must • Expert user of MS Suite including Word and Excel • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
