Our Client is looking for talented and motivated Performance/Load Testing Engineer who is interested in working on innovative consumer-oriented products using contactless card technology that will change the way we use bank cards on the Internet. The Performance/Load Testing Engineer's key focus will be to provide in-depth performance testing of our Client's systems and software.Working in a demanding and fast paced environment this individual contributor must be able to establish priorities among multiple, competing demands and to meet deadlines. Proven experience and skills as a Performance/Load Testing Engineer will be used to ensure project development and quality goals are met. Key Responsibilities include: This position will be responsible for conducting performance testing for an authentication application. As part of a project team the role will have significant interaction across the Application Development, Solution Architecture, Infrastructure and QA teams throughout the project lifecycle. More specifically, • Develop performance test strategies• Provide input and insight to the software design and architecture process• Model technical requirements to evaluate performance impacts• Develop performance requirements• Execute both batch and online jobs performance testing• Validate performance test environments• Work with cross functional project team members to define performance metrics and acceptance criteria• Analyze performance test results to evaluate impacts on production infrastructure and make comparisons with previous release benchmarks• Provide performance tuning recommendations especially around operating systems and databases• Provide performance sign-off and review results with the management and other technical groupsKey Skills, Knowledge and Abilities required to be successful in this role include:To be considered for this role, the incumbent must have:• Practical experience and solid understanding of some of the technologies/tools like Junit, Jmeter, Grinder, etc.• Experience with scripting languages such as Perl, Python, and Ruby required for customization and development of complex automation environments.• Experience with Performance Metrics on Apache, Tomcat, Oracle, and Java Internet Technologies.• Experience with TCP optimization beneficial.• Experience with Performance Tuning.• Experience with Complex Client/Server Architecture and Environments• Ability to work with flexibility, efficiency, and diplomacy in a fast-paced environment. • Exceptional problem solving skills and be able to articulate issues written and verbally. • Excellent technical, communication, and presentation skills• A flexible and personable approach in a team environment and must be comfortable interacting with other internal and external team members on short and long-term term projects. • Ability to communicate clearly, both written and orally in English. • Ability to complete multiple concurrent tasks in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision under tight deadlines. • A flexible work schedule and willingness to work long hours when necessary.Desired Requirements:• Understanding of Financial and Banking applications or related business experience• Experience with web services• Experience with Apache SSL/TLS configuration• Knowledge of common encryption algorithms and fundamentals of PKI• Strong knowledge of Javascript, CSS, Servlet• Working experience with Oracle and MySQL• Good knowledge of Internet technologies: HTTP, HTTPS, SSL, TLS• Familiar with deployment in UNIX environment.• Ability to communicate clearly, both written and orally in English. • Ability to complete multiple concurrent tasks in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision under tight deadlines. • A flexible work schedule and willingness to work long hours when necessary.
