To manage the successful delivery of the Enterprise Online Strategy program. To put in place the teams, controls, governance and support required to deliver projects on time and on/under budget. To coach and train next generation of Program Managers. Continue to improve the Retail Online Baking team's delivery excellence capability by creating re-use in our systems, our processes and our knowledge. May independently manage strategic, critical or very large projects. Refer to Authorities for Project Criteria.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESProject Planning & ExecutionA· Translates client vision into program high level scope and design.A· Seeks out industry trends and organization knowledge to understand alternative approaches / solutions.A· In partnership with the business and IT teams determines best solutions incorporating build, buy or wait recommendations.A· Contributes toward business results as a partner/influencer.A· Facilitates joint planning with the client in the early stages of project formation.A· Integrates project plans at program level creating estimating models as required, refines plan and manages performance against it.A· Facilitates schedule and cost forecasting and mentors project managers in determining risk based provisions.A· Creates metrics and manages with a higher level of information i.e. at the trends and management indicator level; differentiates between project and program metrics.A· Champions strong IT governance in the program decision framework and mentors project managers in its development and continuous improvement.A· Manages program scope using appropriate fact-based metrics/assumptions.A· Delivers projects on time and on/under budgetA· Assists project managers in preparing status reportsA· Provides leadership in issues management and risk managementA· Secures project resources by providing sufficient lead time for all areas within IT to meet program delivery demandsA· Manages application development offshore relationshipA· Continuously improves program delivery efficiency and effectiveness by creating reusable templates and PMF/SDLC artefacts, incorporating lessons learned, best practices, and implementing the feedback loop of these learning into the program.A· Continuously to mature program management practices A· Establishes procedures to improve high level estimate accuracy while reducing time and effort in providing the estimateA· Governance & oversight of all projects, under the Large Program Management Framework.A· Oversees the production of management documents (Project Charter, CTD,.DOU).A· Identifies and manages overall program costs and budgets.A· Anticipates and quantifies tactical, operational and strategic risks applying risk-based approach to forecasting.A· Resolves complex issues and conflicts (including architectural direction vs. project constraints); escalates to executive level where required.
