For our client, a Vancouver based leading renewable energy company, we are looking for a Project Manager (Wind Energy). Reporting to the COO, the Project Manager (Wind Energy) is ideally experienced in program managing wind energy project development processes, specifically, or energy project developments in general. This is a very “hands on” process rich role.Responsibility• Maintenance of existing project GANTT Charts to ensure they accurately reflect & track critical path scheduling & decision making• Development & management of project status reporting infrastructure to assist Project Executive Director to control costs & deliverables for all Project work streams• Development & maintenance Project level risk matrices that provide: • Assistance to Controller in developing maintaining project development budget reporting • Assistance Project Executive Director in managing Project Development Committee & GDSI Status Updates • Assistance in identifying program management improvement opportunities & assist in implementing improvements that will have the highest impact on mitigating program & project risks & improving the cost and schedule performance of each project • Assistance to technical team to manage Owners Engineer & to solely manage the Banker's Engineer • Assistance to technical team in managing the Turbine Supply Agreement & Operating Service Agreement negotiation process • Assistance to technical team in managing the BOP Contract negotiation process • Assistance of Commercial Team in managing BC Hydro & BCTC project update • Assistance of Commercial Team in managing the Project Financing negotiation process • Assistance to CEO/COO in managing external partner due diligence processQualifications• University Degree in related discipline• Further degrees in either engineering or management are considered an asset• At least 10 years relevant work experience, preferably with experience of managing multi-disciplinary engineering consultants & contractors • Previous experience in the wind energy sector and/or transmission-related electrical engineering is considered an advantage for the position• Previous experience of engineering and construction of wind projects, or remote construction in British Columbia is an asset
