Their highly acclaimed solution provides complete content life cycle management.The OpportunityOur client is taking an innovative step in their industry and creating a new SOA cloud-based platform for digital asset management and is seeking a Java QA/Automation Engineer with proven experience in a commercial software development environment to assist them in this endeavour. In this role, you will be responsible for the development and refinement of test automation frameworks for high performance Java media processing applications. Key Responsibilities:- Evaluate software requirements to define a testing strategy as well as writing the components to populate test values on media processing applications. - Code detailed tests for automated functional, integration, stress, load, and performance testing.- Implement new aspects of the test frameworks and re-factor existing aspects to improve overall system robustnessWe are looking with an individual with the following key skills: The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and demonstrated experience writing automated test cases for large-scale complex software systems, preferably in an agile development environment. You should not only have solid technical judgment and proven problem solving skills, but also a passion for delivering innovative and scalable solutions that meet the needs of a variety of competing stakeholders. Since you will be working in a collaborative environment with both internal and external parties, a proven ability to work well within a team is essential. Key Qualifications:- B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent- Excellent written and verbal communication skills- Minimum 2+ years of Java programming experience is ideal- Knowledge of IP networking technologies- Knowledge of automated test methodologies and approaches- Strong understanding of internet architecture and SOA cloud-based platforms- Experience with at least one J2EE application environments (e.g. Tomcat, JBoss, Weblogic, WebSphere, etc.) is a strong assetWhat Is In It For You?Our client offers a casual, comfortable work environment where exciting products are being developed daily.
