Position: Release Manager Location: TorontoContract: 6 months RenewableRate: 75hr-95hrMUST have been a Release Mgr to be consideredManage and coordinate software releases, define and uphold release procedures. Implement and continuously improve the process used to integrate, verify, release.Primary tasks of this individual are:Manages the release process for all components. Ensures each component is promoted to specific environment as scheduled.Maintain calendar of releases to ensure resource contention is eliminated, customer Web application needs.Secures the necessary resources to support a deployment in the certification or production environments. 5+ years of experience as a software quality engineer in an enterprise web application development environment working in a scrum process Experience leading and/or managing a small QA TeamEnsures all release pre-requisites are fulfilledFiling of appropriate requests for change.Execution of database change requests.Deployment of any software/execution of task needed to support release.Works to resolve conflicts or issue impeding the product feature launch schedules. This could include arranging trouble-shooting sessions across multi-disciplinary groups.Assists with support issues as needed or necessary.Knowledgeable of status of release components and communicates status appropriately to Project Manager.Develops task schedule for release windows and ensures tasks are executed in timely fashion3k.consulting@rogers.com
