Position Title: SAP MM Functional Analyst Employment Status: Full Time Location: Calgary, AB Closing Date: Mar 31 2011 SummaryReporting to the Manager SAP, the SAP MM Functional Analyst is responsible for gathering business specifications, configuration and testing within the MM areas aiding in the business understanding of SAP, training end users. The individual must be an effective team member with a focus on the customer to solve business problems quickly and in a creative manner. The functional analyst must also be able to independently drive issue resolution, develop business knowledge and relationships, and apply technical alternatives while operating in a rapidly changing business environment. Finally, the candidate must be a dependable and self-managed individual.Responsibilities• Support AltaLink's SAP system primarily in the MM and SD modules • Address business issues and requests relating to the system• Works closely with AltaLink staff to support, maintain and design solutions as required for the SAP system• Works closely with other SAP support staff to ensure enhancements and updates are appropriately implemented and supported• Assume responsibility for the successful implementation of SAP processes, solutions and products related to the MM and SD areas • Work with internal and external customers to evaluate alternatives; then recommend, develop, test and implement solutions• Test solutions together with the business to ensure compliance with requirements• Implement solutions across AltaLink's SAP landscape and provide post implementation support• Develop necessary specifications and modifications to meet and exceed customer requirements, needs and objectives• Estimate timeframes and resources required to successfully implement assigned projects• Obtain a good understanding of users' requirements and priorities• Assist with projects as required• Develop training and technical documentation• Provide training to business and IT staff as required• Assist the Manager SAP and other assigned IT personnel to develop long-term requirements of SAPQualifications• BS or BA in a business related discipline, or equivalent with 5+ years working with SAP MM• Implementation and support experience with SAP ERP 6.0 is required• Business and technical background in other SAP functional areas• Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)• Communication and organization skills; willingness to work in a team environment; strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities• Strong problem solving skills• Good understanding of procurement business processes• Experience in the utility industry an assetInterested applicants can submit their resume and cover letter to http://www.altalink.ca by Mar 31 2011.
