Their Network Operations Centre is distributed across multiple centres in diverse geographical locations worldwide. The OpportunityThis company is booming and is looking for creative Database Developers to add to their fastest growing division. You will be working on solving the same mission-critical, greenfield-type challenges faced by global companies, such as Google or Amazon, around highly distributed, high-performance database servers. There are two opportunities within the team, one intermediate developer and one senior developer (potential for Architect or Team Lead). The primary focus of these positions will include working in a Global team of database developers to design and maintain software that is being used in a cloud-based 24x7 up-time environment. With a widely distributed system that consists of SQL Server databases in locations worldwide, the problem solving issues that this company faces are interesting, complex, and require a creative problem solver with an excellent work ethic and strong analytical skills. The main areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:- Maintaining SQL server databases from version 2000-2008- SQL Server replication- Developing for performance and performance analysis- Stored procedure development and auditing- Database object design and modelingWe are looking with an individual with the following key skills: The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Microsoft .Net development with C# as well as a background using multi-server, high throughput T-SQL server database applications. Additionally, the individual will ideally have experience in database schema design and database configuration management. Since you will be working in a collaborative environment, a proven ability to work well within a team is essential.Key Qualifications:? B.Sc. Degree in Computer Science or equivalent? Experience developing and designing Relational databases? Experience with T-SQL programming on Microsoft SQL Server 2000-2008? Experience with database configuration management tools?
