For our client, a leading information (monitoring technology) service provider to the oil and gas industry, we are looking for Sales Manager/Business Development professional. The successful candidate will lead the efforts in the Calgary office. Responsibilities:• Manage existing clients to ensure both renewals and growth in service • Take over pipeline of prospects to meet current sales goals • Work cooperatively with partners to strengthen relationships and add revenue • Act as technical resource to partners for sales presentation (candidates need to have an understanding of monitoring technology and processes related to oil production) • Make us more visible in Calgary with involvement in local business activities and the community • Generate new business through direct prospecting • Internal and external representation at meetings and conferencesRequirements (experience/skills):• University degree in Business, Communications, Social Sciences, or related field • At least three years experience in business development • Oil & Gas industry experience (technical sales experience preferred)• Understanding of subsurface and extraction techniques • Fluid ability to write (proposal writing experience preferred) • Experience facilitating regional marketing activities • Highly professional presentation and public speaking skills • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office products: Word, PowerPoint and Excel• Strong leadership and consensus building skills • Enjoys working independently, or as part of a team • Self-motivated
