Job Overview:The BI Architect/Designer will provide Information Management (IM) solutions for SAP Business Warehouse (BW), SAP Business Intelligence (BI) Suite including Xcelcius, Web Intelligence and Enterprise Data Warehouse Architecture (EDW) - Oracle/Teradata. He/She will also translate functional Business Intelligence Architecture into technical designs, confirm technical gaps and work directly with the Loblaw Data Services team to ensure standards and governance are embedded in the Business Intelligence Architecture including Extractors, Operational Data Stores, Cubes, Infosets and Data Structures/Transformation Rules.Responsibilities:• Understand LCLs Enterprise Information Strategy and ensure BI Architecture is understood and incorporated into strategic and tactical plans• Establish business relationships to ensure the BI Architecture and the Enterprise Information Management Strategy is understood• Lead the development and evolution of Enterprise Information Management Strategy including our overall Information Architecture. • Play a lead role on Information Management projects by providing BI Architecture solutions and ensuring alignment with overall information management strategies. • Contribute substantially to overall software architecture, and take ownership of the design and development of the business layer, semantic layer & reporting solution• Provide guidance to development application areas by applying knowledge of BI solutions, toolsets, design patterns, and standards• Lead SAP BI Technical Architecture during Project Blueprint/Realization/GO-LIVE/Sustain phases of SAP BI development Project• Participate, as appropriate, in design and code reviews, documentation of design, and implementation of methodologies to ensure high quality software.• Provide strategic thinking, solutions and roadmaps while driving architectural recommendations.• Assist with establishing and communicating SLA's/Metrics to measure availability of critical services.• Ongoing responsibility to ensure BI knowledge is harvested and shared within BI/PM knowledge repositories• Ensure that business and technical metadata is maintained holistically by partnering with business, data management and development teams.• Ensure the development and maintenance of logical data models and physical data base designs applied across FPII applications.Skills and Qualifications:• Enterprise reporting solutions including designs and toolsets across multiple landscapes including SAP Business Intelligence Suite & Enterprise Data Warehouse• Strong Knowledge of SAP BW 3.5/SAP 7.0 • Minimum 3 Full Life Cycle development projects• Experience with:-SAP ECC-SAP Master Data Management-SAP CRM-SAP Enterprise Portals• BA/BS Degree (Business, Computer Science, MIS)• Experience using third party Reporting & Analytical tools (Business
