Our client, a multi-disciplinary consulting firm that provides a wide range of engineering, geomatics, planning, and project management services throughout Western Canada, is currently seeking a Senior Civil Engineering Technologist to join our Vancouver team. Responsibilities: The ideal candidate will report to the Manager of Municipal/Land Development and will: • Develop preliminary engineering design concepts• Prepare subdivision and municipal civil engineering designs in accordance with municipal standards • Liaise with clients, sub-consultants and utilities to coordinate final design elements• Coordinate and oversee field surveys for construction layout and as-built pickup• Prepare and oversee preparation of tender contract documents and engineering reports Qualification: As the successful candidate you: • Have 10 plus years relevant experience• Have formal post secondary training from a technical program• Are proficient in AutoCAD and Land Development Desktop and/or Civil 3D software• Have experience with land development and municipal infrastructure projects; including design, construction survey and inspection• Have good oral and written communication skills which is complimented with a keen eye for detail• Have leadership skills and experience managing and leading engineering staff on multi-disciplinary projectsThe employer offers to his employees an attractive compensation package that includes a competitive salary, above market group health benefits, a group RRSP plan, as well as a commitment to career development.
