For our client, we are looking for a Senior DSP Software Engineer to be part of the development team for the lower layers of the UMTS/LTE protocol implementations. You must be a technical expert in UMTS/LTE, with hands-on experience in implementing wireless protocols and extensive knowledge of embedded system designs. This position provides an opportunity to demonstrate your technical acumen, through individual contributions, as well as leadership skills.Responsibility: • Responsible for all aspects of the software lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, peer review, unit and integration testing and troubleshooting • Specify, Design, implement, and optimize algorithms and procedures for the PHY (physical) layer components of 3G/4G wireless protocols • Develop Python models for testing the functionality and performance • Perform system integration and functional testing • Communicate with internal and external customers to capturing requirements, ensuring acceptance and troubleshooting issues • Improve overall efficiency through contributions to the system architecture, tools and development process • Provide mentoring to junior engineers Qualifications: • A degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or Computer Science with an embedded systems focus • Minimum of 8 years experience in embedded real-time software development for wireless products • Domain expert with deep knowledge of wireless networking, protocols and 3GPP standards • Experience with real-time DSP software development in multi-processor environment , ideally with TI C64XX • Strong knowledge in C/C++/object-oriented software programming in a UNIX/Linux environment • Performed system architect role, delivering commercially successful solutions on tight deadlines • Experienced in creating project plans and to deliver against commitments with minimal supervision • Practiced Agile development methodology • Excellent team player and a willingness to learn and work on all stages of the software life cycle • Excellent problem-solving skills • Proactive nature, willing to take initiative and seek challenges • Excellent documentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
