Join us and be a part of our future!RESPONSIBILITIES :As a result of expanding opportunities, we have a new role for a Senior Level Electrical Engineer with experience in thermal power generation, to utilize their technical skills, project management abilities and mentoring skills in developing and directing a small team.RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE :Provide technical expertise in thermal power design, coordination of documentation and drawings, coaching of team members in design excellence and project monitoringDevelop and implement "win" strategies, including client contact, proposal preparation of and participation in client interviewsKeep current on state-of-the-art developments in the Power sector and disseminate relevant information to the teamQUALIFICATIONS :Degree in Electrical Engineering with background in Power Generation or Power EngineeringMust have a minimum of 15 years of experience in Thermal Power Plant design, preferably in coal fired plants (100 - 500MWe range) including heat cycle knowledge, familiarity with planning, scheduling, cost control and a good appreciation of equipment layout requirements and control issues. Operational experience is desired.Experience using ETAP and/or EasyPower to perform Load Flow or ArcFlash Studies using these or other related software packagesFamiliarity with emission controls: particulate collection, flue gas desulphurization, mercury Abatement and NOx controlsWell developed interpersonal skills; presentation skills an asset in client related meetingsExperience in or interest in developing new business opportunities is beneficialP.Eng. designation OR confirmation of eligibility with APEGS
