Visit our website at www.questrade.comPosition Title Senior Network Engineer Purpose The purpose of the Senior Network Engineer is to engineer and design support solutions to existing and future infrastructure projects.Job Summary The Engineer will assist project teams with technical issues in the Initiation and Planning phases of our standard Project Management Methodology. This position is responsible for leading a team of Network professionals who provide services to all lines of business at Questrade. The services provided by this team must be delivered in a reliable, timely and consistent manner as they are often a key component in larger initiatives that have tight timelines.Job Responsibilities A· Perform troubleshooting on operational network/security problems identified to maintain corporate network functionality. A· Carry out opportunity studies and audits submit recommendations on any possible enhancements to the current network and also build strategies /solutions aimed at maximizing corporate network accessibility. A· Produce any technical documentation required for optimal network/security project management and assist in the deployment and integration of any technical solutions proposed, providing tech-support to all operations staff during deployment of these solutions.A· Contribute to and maintain system standards.A· Research and recommend innovation, features, patches and security vulnerabilities. Where possible automate system administration tasks. Identify approaches that leverage our resources.Required Qualifications A· Bachelor's degree in computer science and engineeringA· 3-5 years of solid experience - Extraordinary people and teamwork skills as well as impeccable communication (written/oral)A· 5+ years of experience in a network engineering positionA· Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in technical related fieldA· Experience in a high volume Information Technology industryA· Strong knowledge of Cisco equipments, TCP/IP networking, cabling, LAN/WAN protocols, routing protocols, network designA· Experience with Cisco switch 6509, HP OpenviewA· Excellent organizational, communication, analytical and interpersonal skillsA· Ability to deliver clear and concise system documentation and manage inventoryA· Required Certification Cisco Certified (CCIE preferred)A· Knowledge of the trading brokerage industry We thank all candidates for their interest in working at Questrade.
