Our Client is looking for talented and motivated Senior Quality Assurance Analyst who is interested in working on innovative consumer-oriented products using contactless card technology that will change the way we use bank cards on the Internet. The Sr. QA Analyst's key focus will be to provide in-depth testing of Client systems and software. Working in a demanding and fast paced environment this individual contributor must be able to establish priorities among multiple, competing demands and to meet deadlines. Proven experience and skills as a Sr. QA Analyst will be used to ensure project development and quality goals are met. Key Responsibilities include: The responsibilities of the selected Sr. QA Analyst will include performing test estimation and planning, manual and automated testing, reporting, and defect tracking and reporting results. Additionally, the incumbent will participate in the preparation of test documentation, execution; and evaluate product readiness for product release. This person may be required to guide and train junior QA members. More specifically: • Defect reporting/tracking/fixing - Find and report defects in code, assets and tools. Research and properly update and assign defects written by other members of the development team. Track defects to closure. Check in fixes when appropriate. • Creation of QA documentation - Write up documentation including system reports, test cases and tracking documentation. • Perform testing in all environments for verification of requirements • Reproduce and isolate defects found by other members • Aid in the maintenance of internal and/or external defect databases as needed. Key Skills, Knowledge and Abilities required to be successful in this role include: To be considered for this role, the incumbent must have: • Minimum 5 years of experience working as a Software Testing & Quality Assurance Analyst in both manual and automated environments coupled with a Post-Secondary education • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in Java & J2EE technologies • Working knowledge of testing Web Services or other XML RPC based applications. • Working knowledge of XML and XML Schema • Must be able to create test documentation, execute test cases, track defects, operate automation, and report results. • Knowledge of revision control systems, defect/feature tracking systems and formal release procedures • Affinity for unit testing, test-driven development, using and enhancing automated regression test frameworks • Ability to work with flexibility, efficiency, and diplomacy in a fast-paced environment. • Exceptional problem solving skills and be able to articulate issues written and verbally. • A flexible and personable approach in a team environment and must be comfortable interacting with other internal and external team members on short and long-term term projects. • Ability to communicate clearly, both written and orally in English including facilitation and presentation skills. • Ability to accurately troubleshoot and identify software and hardware problems and describe the issue to others in a clear and concise manner. • Knowledge of current PC hardware and setup. • Ability to complete multiple concurrent tasks in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision under tight deadlines. • Experience with at least two defect tracking systems. • A flexible work schedule and willingness to work long hours when necessary to accommodate project deadlines.Desired Requirements: • Ability to create simple test applications in Java • Experience with Apache SSL/TLS configuration • Knowledge of common encryption algorithms and fundamentals of PKI • Strong knowledge of Javascript • Working experience with Oracle and MySQL • Ability to create and execute SQL queries to validate system behaviour • Good knowledge of Internet technologies: HTTP, HTTPS, SSL, TLS • Familiar with deployment in UNIX environment. • QA certifications such as the Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA), Certified Manager of Software Quality (CMSQ), Six Sigma Black Belt and CompTIA Network+ are a definite plus.
