For our client, an international consulting firm, providing services in applied earth sciences with special emphasis on geological, geotechnical and water resources engineering, we are looking for a Senior Rock Mechanic Engineer for their Toronto (ON) office. The client focuses on mining, energy and transportation services with projects in North and South America, Africa, Asia, Australia and Europe. Potential Work Locations: All across Canada, South America, Africa, Australia, Asia and Europe Responsibilities: • Project Management • Delegate work to junior and intermediate staff • Client liaison • Track project progress and budgets • Report to our clients management team Technical • Design of underground and surface excavations • Summarize site investigation results • Conduct engineering analyses and provide recommendations Business Development • Manage existing clients • Develop new local and international clientsQualifications:• 20+ years of relevant work experience • Strong experience in mining operations and consulting with strong written and oral communication skills• Strong experience in managing development projects with at least $1 million budgets and teams of more than 5 people• Exceptional client management skills are a must have • Due to the company's projects in Central and South America, strong written and oral Spanish skills are considered an asset
