We are currently seeking a highly motivated software craftsperson. Her/his primary goal is to create quality product and functionality which meets the needs of the business. Working with product owners and a team of developers he/she assists with test-driven development, code and design reviews, peer programming and implementation. This senior software engineer will also be assigned to lead specific projects and process initiatives and helps to mentor less experienced colleagues.Duties and Responsibilities: • Deliver quality code by applying sound development practices, leveraging test driven development and refactoring techniques • Responsible for the assigned component's quality, implementation, unit testing, defect investigation and resolution • Document and communicate architecture and design to other team members • Perform system integration and testing, problem troubleshooting and resolution• Resolve assigned customer reported issues in a timely manner• Provide technical input into product roadmaps, negotiating compromises between business and technical constraints• Maintain and build core competency of technological knowledge, staying in touch with emerging technologies, and share this knowledge with colleagues• Work with QA and to produce high quality products to better support a successful release to our customers, Technical Support and Product Management organizations• Collaborate with peer teams to resolve inter-component or interface design and implementation details and ensure good design and loose coupling• As part of your design and implementation considerations, be cognizant of impact on the downstream consumer of your end product, with attention to considerations such as usability, performance and manageabilityEducation, Skills and Experience:• Expert level expertise in applying SOLID and TDD in new development and legacy code situations• Expert level .NET development experience, with focus on ASP.NET and C# • SOLR Search Platform experience is a strong asset.• Understanding of and practical experience with DDD.• Experience with the following technologies is a strong asset: NServiceBus or similar, NHibernate, loC containers, RhinoMock or similar, NoSql databases, BDD practices & tools (e.g. SpecFlow), MS Sql Server, Resharper• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science / Engineering• AJAX and JavaScript experience.• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required as well as strong collaboration skills working in a team environment• Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple concurrent assignments• Technical Lead experience a plus• Mobile Development experience is an assetMove | Top Producer's total compensation package includes competitive salaries, a comprehensive benefits program, and an RRSP contribution-matching program.
