Description • Managing and administer all production environment's within the technical operations domain:o Windows 2008 Active Directory infrastructure and advanced group policy o MS SQL database serverso IIS web servers running .Net appso Windows Clustering and Network load balancingo Vmware • Manage and lead server upgrades to Windows Server 2008• Document and implement system optimization and security hardening• Monitor and analyze resource utilization and participate in hardware/software solutions to meet capacity requirements.• Respond to critical platform, application and network problems to minimize service unavailability. • Work with team members to perform problem determination and troubleshooting tasks across multiple platforms, technologies and environments• Participate in network design change and enhancements for improved system availability and performance.• Provide proactive resource utilization monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning.• Develop and support high availability site connectivity and site recovery strategy for application, communication and database servers.• Provide Microsoft Windows server support for all environments including Development, Qualification and Production.• Support performance testing and application benchmarking activities.• Provide off-hour support. The role requires on-call availability rotations shared among the network and security services.PrA©requis/Requirements • Excellent Windows Server skills, and at least 6 years of hands on Network / System administration in a web hosting environment. Proven work experience with Windows 2008 Server, Active Directory, IIS 7 and VMware is required.• Strong knowledge of as many of the following will be considered a strong asset: various scripting languages, Cisco routers/switches; L2/L7 load balancers, network firewalls/VPNs, SSL accelerators, Fiber Channel SANs, LDAP/SSL/SMTP protocols, virtualization platforms.• Experience with enterprise monitoring tools, monitoring methodologies, escalation process and procedures.• Complete understanding of Change Management and Fault Management.• Self-discipline, ambition and a positive attitude.• Ability to learn quickly and self-educate -- capacity to conduct research independently.• Capacity for being detail-oriented and well organized.• Strong sense of commitment and ownership of issues.• Adaptability to change and a proven record of professional and personal successes.• Good communication skills (English) and capacity/willingness to work in a team environment, knowledge of French is a definite asset.• Availabilities and willingness to work on a shift schedule.FOR BETTER RESULTS, PLEASE APPLY ON LINE >>> WWW.ALTEO.CA
