The Small and Medium Enterprise Communications (SMEC) organization has an open position for a software developer. The SMEC team develops the industry leading communications solution for small and medium businesses. The position is in one or more of the areas of 1) S/W licensing and entitlement 2) Data signaling and encryption3) SIP Responsibilities: • The successful candidate will work as part of a highly motivated and energized team developing and/ or supporting software that leverages Avaya's IP Office or other Avaya products that need to be integrated within a total SMEC solution. • The work may include learning and understanding requirements and technical specifications, and implementing designs using C and C++, sometimes at the OS level. • The job includes working with others on feature quality teams to review, inspect, and integrate the team's designs. The developer is responsible for unit and integration test and delivery of their software and will also apply their knowledge and skills to identify and resolve a wide variety of day-to-day technical and logistical issues. He/she should be able to present technical information clearly, and should be flexible in responding to change in a fast-paced environment.Requirements: • MS or BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering with a software emphasis.• Knowledge of Object-Oriented Design• Proficient in C and C++ programming languages.• Experience developing embedded systems• Experience in Agile is desirable• Encryption, Linux OS, OS security is desirable• Familiarity with voice and data networking protocols such as SIP and SSL is desirable• Excellent problem-solving skills.• Team player with excellent verbal and written communications skills.Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Engineering.Embedded Systems.C/C++.
