Description Our client, a fast growing company, offers an interesting mix of challenges and opportunities, a collaborative and energetic team of technology professionals and the opportunity to work with leading technologies. Reporting to the VP of R&D, you will be responsible for managing a team of Java developers (around 10 developers) in a growth mode context. The required profile is a mix between a team and projects manager and a technical leader able to technically orient the developers.Responsibilities:• Understand the different modules of the system and how they interact with each other• Make sure the scope of a project is respected• Perform one-on-one meetings with team leaders and/or developers to get feedback from them and help them achieve their own career objective• Do regular status meeting with development leads to follow up on issues, keep track of the project advancement• Provide accurate coaching to the developers• Responsible of post-mortem analysis of a project• Send weekly updates on project to VPs• Involve in the recruitment of new developers• Be part of the recruitment process for the Java team• Talk with clients concerning specific requirementsPrA©requis/Requirements • Bachelor Degree in IT and/or relevant work experience• 2-3+ years of experience as a manager of software development• 5+ years of experience in software development specifically in Java (web)• Solid experience with Java, JEE, JavaScript (JQuery, DOJO, etc.)• Experienced with JSP, Struts, XML and AJAX• Solid experience with SQL, JDBC and ORM tools• Solid experience with web application servers such as JBoss or BEA Weblogic server• Experienced with : Source Versioning (SVN) and unit testing (jUnit), JMS in a Linux/Windows environment, with Spring-core or similar AOP framework• Good understanding of basic design patterns, Apache httpd, PL/SQL, Oracle 10g, Open source frameworks• Excellent oral and written communication skills : bilingual (English / French)• Quick learner• Ability to work on multiple projects: strong sense of setting prioritiesFOR BETTER RESULTS, PLEASE APPLY ON LINE >>> WWW.ALTEO.CA
