MUST HAVE Software Support ExperienceTo support a sophisticated software solution that integrates various Document Management Systems (Documentum, OpenText, SAP DMS) with various ERP systems (SAP ERP, Indus PassPort) and Java Platforms (SAP NetWeaver, Tomcat, OAS). Support of primarily a Java and Java WebDynpro/ABAP solution, which standardize business operations for asset-intensive industries, owner operators, engineering firms (EPCs) and equipment suppliers.Support process and systemsInvestigate best practices and processes; make recommendations to align with internal and external factors influencing organizational needs.Analyze the support processes and systems, identify the gaps and bottlenecks, make proposals for improvement, and manage the implementation.Analyze technical support workflow, identify the productivity potentials, design solution strategies, work out project plan and manage the implementation process.Document the new/changed procedures and write up guidelines for internal and external people to use.Communicate and provide training about the new/changed processes and systems.Be the point of contact for other departments with regard to technical and functional support process and systems.Be the point of contact between SAP and customers related to technical and functional issues.Manage escalation cases between SAP and customersAuthor of technical notes (SAP OSS Notes) for customers to implement corrections, modifications or fixes for the software products.Qualification:Strong interpersonal skillsRequired Skills/Experience Strong analysis and problem-solving skillsExperience working in EAM/ ERP industryExperience with SAP technologies (NetWeaver, R/3 and/or ECC) is a definite assetExperience with Java, HTML, XML, XSL, JavaScriptPrevious client facing software-consulting experienceStrong multi-tasking and project management skillsEducation:University graduate or college diploma in a technology field
