For our client, a Vancouver based aerospace company, we are currently looking for a Stress/Fatigue Engineer responsible for liaising with OEMs for extensions to component life limits in the Fleet. Responsibilities: • Liaison with OEMs (Sikorsky, P&W, GE Engines, etc) to have life limits extended • Analyze failure modes of various aircraft equipment and prepare reports to support new maintenance schemes and life limits • Write fatigue analysis reports • Write other reports justifying changes to maintenance programs • Assist with the commissioning of new maintenance schemes and inspection criteria permitting life limit increases • International travel may be required• May perform other duties as assignedQualifications• Engineering degree (mechanical preferred) or Technologist diploma directly related to aviation and extensive related experience in the component overhaul business • A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience • Must have experience developing repair procedures and working knowledge of TCCA approval process • Strong ability to analyze material fatigue characteristics • Strong understanding of aircraft usage spectrum as it applies to fatigue issues• Familiar with EASA, Transport Canada and FAA regulations • Team player with ability to work unsupervised • Computer skills in maintenance software systems, Microsoft Office • Ability perform statistical analysis to support failure predictions • Strong communication skills and proven problem solving/analytical skills • Interaction experience with one or more regulatory bodies (Transport Canada) on aircraft maintenance issues • Eligible for Professional Engineering registration in British Columbia
