Are you an IT professional with a focus on web development? The Information Technologies and Services (IT/S) department at The Banff Centre is looking for an experienced Systems Analyst to provide technical and administrative input and support for systems and software development projects and IT/S initiatives, ensuring effective and innovative solutions that meet the business requirements. Responsibilities•The detailed design, development, testing, documentation, maintenance, and support of The Banff Centre .NET applications and interfaces. •SQL database design, development, testing, documentation, maintenance, and support. •Formulating specifications for and performing coding, testing, and debugging of computer programs, interfaces, and reports. •Working with IT/S management and project management teams to identify and develop new applications, interfaces, portals, and to provide support for The Banff Centre. •Working with internally and externally-facing applications and the unique security requirements these require. •Troubleshooting problems with the system and working with stakeholders to solve problems. •Developing appropriate training materials. The Ideal Candidate•Holds a university degree in computer science, information systems, or a related discipline. •Brings a minimum of two years experience with systems analysis and design, including both systems support and systems project experience. •Demonstrates solid .NET programming skills. •Is experienced in database development with SQL Server 2005 and 2008. •Understands and brings working knowledge of the systems project life cycle, code management, and change management processes for systems support and operations. •Has experience working with Microsoft Reporting Services, Analysis Services, and Integration Services. •Is self-directed, capable of managing multiple tasks, demonstrates proven problem-solving skills, and shows good judgement. Special Requirements•Candidates offered a position with the Centre, in this capacity, will be required to obtain a criminal record check through the local R.C.M.P. detachment, verifying a clear record before a final job offer can be made.
