Job Summary An ideal candidate will have a background as a business systems analyst and/or technical writer in the financial services industry spans writing and management of the development cycle for: software specs and standards, user manuals, and training materials. You work comfortably with software business units including QAs and developers. Job Responsibilities A· Collaborate with multiple stakeholders in order to create systems documentation, software requirement documentation, functional specifications and technical documentation A· Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to document new builds, including proprietary software, products, and services. This could include the development, writing and organizational logic for systems documentation, product manuals, installation guides, trouble-shooting documents, FAQs, technical specifications. A· Ownership of content over the full development life-cycle. A· Identify and recommend steps to resolve documentation and/or process issues; this can include suggestions for improvements to systems. A· Work closely with application user experience lead to ensure the usability of technical details. A· Review current technical materials, then analyze and copy-edit for readability, accuracy, and efficacy. Qualifications A· Degree, diploma and/or a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience A· Experience in systems analysis, technical writing, specifically in the financial services industry and/or documenting finance-related software A· Knowledge of technical analysis tools A· Knowledge of technical aspects of financial market operations A· Impeccable grammar, writing, editing, and proofreading skills. A· Ability to work in a team environment and interact effectively with project stakeholders A· Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. A· Excellent time-management and organizational abilities that facilitate structured teamwork. A· Reliable, self-starter with attention to detail and passion for quality A· Ability to write clearly about complex topics (samples required) A· Knowledge of SDLC methodologies A· Experience working with Linux and Windows based environments A· Exposure to scripting languages such as VBScript and HTML A· Experience working with client/server and Web based applications A· Exposure to Production support a nice to have A· Stock and options trading experience an asset Professional Development Recommendations: A· CSC
