Looking to add a solid C++ software developer to their team to help in this new venture. Our client is looking for an individual with a strong background in Object-Oriented Design and C++ programming for audio and video processing to fill a 3-6 month contract (extendible). Experience with concurrent programming, inter-process communication and network programming experience are essential for the role, as is hands-on experience with digital video processing. Any experience in Java and/or Agile development will be considered an asset. You will be working in a collaborative environment. Therefore, proven ability to work well within a team is essential. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal are required. You will also need to critically analyze issues in order to debug solutions, prototype them, and document/communicate designs.We are looking for an individual with the following skills:- Experience with broadcast industry concepts like timecode, SDI, PAL/NTSC/HD, VBI, ancillary data, subtitles, etc. - Video / Audio compression formats : h.264, VC-1, MPEG2, etc.- Image formats: Color spaces, bit depths, etc. - DirectShow, DirectX or similar- Digital Right Management: WMDRM, PlayReady, etc.- Media streaming: HTTP, RTSP, etc.- Exposure to Agile engineering practicesWhat Is In It For You?Our client offers a casual, comfortable work environment where exciting products are being developed daily.
