Software Developer (Intermediate -- Senior)Our client is a small, dynamic group specializing in tailored visual analytics software research, design and development for key clients in government and industry. We are world leaders in design and implementation of high end decision support applications utilizing 2D and 3D visualization technology with advanced user interface concepts. We are seeking seasoned Visualization Developer's.Reporting to the Team Lead, Visualization Consultant and operating from our Toronto office, you must be self-motivated, results driven and customer service focused.Job Duties• Use agile processes to develop, test, debug and integrate user-facing software solutions on a variety of target hardware platforms• Work closely with product designers to define and refine functional requirements• Find and apply appropriate solutions to open-ended technical problemsRequired Skills and ExperienceWe are looking for a range of abilities. Excellence in any combination of those listed below is welcome. • Java, C++, or .NET experience• Experience with 2D and/or 3D graphics - Interactive displays and mobile platforms a plus! • Knowledge of design patterns and software architecture best practices• Experience building rich interfaces using one or more UI frameworks (e.g. Swing, WPF, GTK)• An interest in HCI concepts such as user-centered design • High-level of skill a must: Bachelors and/or Masters in Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics
